Founded in 1986, Mesón Panza Verde was Antigua’s first European-style luxury boutique hotel and restaurant. Ideally situated at the tranquil end of the iconic Fifth Avenue, we’re just a five-minute stroll from the Central Plaza and Cathedral—through charming cobblestone streets lined with historic ruins and artisan boutiques.

Our name—Panza Verde, or “Green Belly”—is a cherished nickname for the people of Antigua. Legend has it that when the capital moved to Guatemala City, those who stayed behind survived on avocados. Today, to be a Panza Verde is a mark of pride and cultural identity.

Zenique is Panza Verde’s bistro, coffee shop, and curated store—designed for everyday moments.
From specialty coffee and refined casual dining to a thoughtfully selected wine and product collection, Zenique brings the essence of Panza Verde into a more relaxed, accessible space.
